2025-26 School Trustees

Thank you to all the individuals who responded to the November 14, 2022 JMSA Board of Trustees “Call for Applicants”. The names of the trustee candidates who were successful in the Board interview process have been submitted to the Minister of Education. The Minister of Education determines if a candidate is appointed. The JMSA will post updated information on trustee appointments following notification from the Minister.

Lilian Bahgat

Lilian Bahgat
Lilian Bahgat is a lawyer and Review Counsel at Community Legal Aid, University of Windsor supervising the civil practice area. Her practice focuses on access to justice within the community and teaching law students the practice of law. She was also a sessional instructor at Windsor Law, St. Clair College and currently serves on the Board for the Association of Clinical Legal Education. She is grateful to contribute to the JMSA, its students, and their families.
Lucy Coppola

Lucy Coppola
Lucy Coppola is a Registered Nurse and has a (BScN), Honours, as well as a Master of Health Studies. Her career began in front line nursing with a movement into nursing management. Lucy progressed through a variety of leadership management roles in the acute and home and community care sectors within Windsor-Essex. She most recently worked in the children's rehab sector as a Director of Client Services for JMCC in Windsor until her retirement in 2022. In addition to nursing education, Lucy has also completed training through the Ontario Ministry of the Attorney General/Capacity Assessment Office, and has worked as a self-employed Designated Capacity Assessor since 2019.

Chris Di Domenico
Chris is a CPA and is currently a plant controller for one of the Narmco Groups manufacturing facilities. With his finance and accounting background he is able to assist the Board of Trustees in all of their financial matters. Chris brings experience and knowledge in the area of health and safety through his work on the Joint Health and Safety Committee on the Parkway Project and has had previous community volunteer experience with Habitat for Humanity as a member of their Finance Committee.

Mike Wilcox
Mike is the Principal/Secretary with the John McGivney School Authority (JMSA). Before moving to the JMCCSA, Mike was an educator for 26 years with the Greater Essex County District School Board. He began his career as an elementary teacher, vice-principal, principal, Supervising Principal of Special Education and then held the role of Superintendent of Special Education in his last four and a half years with the GECDSB. He considers it an honour and privilege to work at the JMCCSA and looks forward to continuing the great work done in terms of supporting student learning and well-being.
Rob Kapetanov

Rob Kapetanov
Rob has over 30 years experience as a Teacher, Special Education Consultant, and school Principal for the Greater Essex County District School Board. He has been an instructor at the post-secondary level, teaching a variety of special education courses. In retirement, he also supports Psychologists in completing psycho-educational assessments. Rob is honoured to have the opportunity to apply his experiences in education at JMSA.
Lynn McLaughlin

Lynn McLaughlin, Trustee
Lynn McLaughlin has been an educator for over 30 years. She began her career as a French teacher and worked in three different Ontario school boards in various teaching and consulting roles. Lynn was a vice-principal, principal, and for six years served as Superintendent of Special Education Services for the GECDSB. Since retirement in 2018, she has been teaching in the Educational Support Program at St. Clair College. Lynn is also an author, a member of 100 Women Who Care Windsor/Essex, and is a Rotarian. As a brain tumour survivor, she works tirelessly to support the goals of the Brain Tumour Foundation of Canada.

Mac Petryshyn
Mac is a Portfolio Manager & Wealth Advisor at CIBC Wood Gundy. He is a trusted advisor focused on long term wealth creation for individuals, families, corporations, and endowments. Mac is a Chartered Financial Analyst and a graduate of the University of Windsor. He also sits on the board of directors at the Essex Golf & Country Club.

School Staff

Each of our classrooms provides our students with positive learning experiences provided by educational teams, each comprised of a highly qualified Teacher and Educational Assistant. These classroom teams are augmented by the specialized skills of a Communicative Disorders Assistant. The classroom staff are supported by the School Principal, an Educational Consultant, a Business Manager, a Communication Technology Assistant, and an Administrative Assistant. Additional supports are provided by JK/SK Support Staff and a team of Lunch Aides.
