PA Day November

Dear Parents and Guardians

This is a reminder that your child will not be attending school on Friday, November 14th as we are participating in a Ministry approved PA Day. This day is aligned with our co-terminus Boards in the Windsor-Essex region, including the GECDSB and WECDSB.

The following is an outline of the learning that staff will be participating in on the PA Day.

Friday, November 14th PA Day (Full Day)

Our upcoming PA Day will be divided into morning and afternoon sessions.

Morning Session: 

Teachers will be participating in a PD session on Artificial Intelligence, presented by the JMSA staff.

Teachers will be participating in a session focused on examining our current Strategic Plan as JMSA is going through the strategic planning process this year to develop the 2026-3030 Strategic Plan.

Our Educational Support Staff will be participating in Behaviour Management Systems recertification (all morning) 

Afternoon Sessions: 

All JMCCSA staff will participate in the following afternoon session:

  • Duty to Report(presented by the Windsor-Essex Children’s Aid Society)
  • Impacts of Poverty on Students and the Community – facilitated by staff from the United Way
