Measles Update from WECHU

Good afternoon JMCCSA Families,
Please see the attached memo from the Windsor-Essex County Health Unit. This is particularly relevant to families residing in Leamington and the surrounding areas as we move into a holiday weekend where families will be gathering. Please make sure that you read the attached memo which provides updated health information regarding the spread of measles, limiting risk and possible school exclusions. The WECHU is advocating that the best way to protect against measles is for all individuals to receive two doses of the measles (MMR or MMRV) vaccine. Please don’t hesitate to contact the WECHU in the event that you have any medical questions.
